Connected Boating App

Access the free ActiveCaptain™ app using the built in Wifi, allowing you to manage your on the water experience from almost anywhere. This app connects your mobile device to your Garmin chartplotter, providing access to charts, maps, and the boating community. It also offers smart notifications, trip planning, and automatic syncing with your chartplotter, along with software update notifications.

Fast GPS and GLONASS Position heading is updated 10 times per second using the built-in 10 Hz GPS and GLONASS receiver, delivering on-screen movement smoothly. This feature allows quick and easy waypoint marking, with capacity for up to 5,000 waypoints.

 Enhanced Mapping Options

 Expandable memory for additional maps is offered via Two SD™ card slots, BlueChart® g2 Vision® HD, BlueChart® g2 HD, LakeVü HD Ultra and LakeVü HD are also compatible. Features to enhance your sailing performance, the GPSMAP 1022 includes a pre-race guidance page with a virtual starting line, laylines, race timer, and other data fields.

Available features also entail enriched course-over-ground lines, heading, wind data and GPX Waypoints Transfer. Transferring waypoints, tracks, or routes from another GPS device is simple using GPX software formatting, whether from another manufacturer’s product or a Garmin handheld device.
